Thousands of scripts, recordings and other memorabilia from the Golden Age of Radio--stored now in a concrete basement in Hollywood--will be added to the extensive display at the Thousand Oaks Library, creating one of the most expansive collections in the world.
A nonprofit foundation has asked Thousand Oaks for a $50,000 loan to open a specialty store that would benefit the city library, an official said. The proposal, which will be reviewed Tuesday by the City Council, includes remodeling a library conference room and using it as a gift shop, said Frances Prince, president of the Thousand Oaks Library Foundation.
